Amanda Brugel

(February 27 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on this part of the island of Montreal known as the West Island. Many people who don't know they mistakenly believe it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. In fact it is it is the West Island includes everything westward of Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island. However, this is not true. Brugel lived in Courtice, just outside of Oshawa. When she was a child she hoped to become the next big thing in her career, but a sudden increase in her height made it difficult. In an article published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. After I became too big for my male friends, I quit. Former dancers often turn into acting. In the instance of Brugel, it was a suggestion from her high school teacher of drama. A teacher suggested that she take part in an audition for the annual school production. The teacher who suggested that she pursue a part the school's annual production. The show led her to receive a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theatre Program and graduated with an Associate of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Since then, Brugel's been in over 60 productions both large and small. The most notable was when she landed Rita's role in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in the Handmaid's Tale which was produced over the course of ten years.
